Greetings, your college student has applied for Santa Fe College's STEM3S program.
This program is funded by the Department of Education to serve students enrolled in STEM majors at Santa Fe College who are the first in their family to attend college, meet TRIO low-income levels, and/or students with a registered disability. The benefits of the STEM3S program include:
- Free, one-on-one academic tutoring in over 300 subjects 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- A personal Academic Coach to assist students with course selection, degree audits, career advising, financial aid assistance, networking opportunities, and four-year transfer assistance.
- The potential for additional grant aid.
This program is completely free for students. As a federally funded program, we require income verification from you. Please complete this simple form so we can process your student's application.

Why do we need income verification documents?
As a federally funded TRIO program, STEM3S is required to provide the US Department of Education with specific documentation of household income level and educational background for enrollment into the STEM3S program.
The information is protected by the Family Rights and Privacy Act and will be held in strict confidence. The information is used to determine if the student is eligible to participate in the STEM3S Program.

Instructions
Household Size
To determine your household size, include:
-
yourself (and if married, your spouse);
-
the number of children (even if they don’t live with you) who will receive more than half of their support from you (and if married, your spouse); and
-
the number of people (not your children or spouse) who live with you and receive more than half of their support from you, and will continue to receive more than half of their support from you.
Taxable Income
It is important to report Taxable Income not Adjusted Gross Income. Your taxable income can be found on line 15 of the 2022 1040 tax form. If you did not file a 2022 tax return just enter "0".
